2025 - A Year of Massive Changes

1/1/2026

Looking back across the landscape of 2025, I see that overall it was a year of massive growth, new learning and new opportunities for me. I did a whole lot more than I expected to do, faced some pretty unpleasant situations and had some major celebrations and massive highlights along the way as well.
I do love to blog about my amazing yearly achievements, not because I want to brag, but mostly because looking back and remembering a year completely helps me to identify all of the joys, personal highlights and reasons to be grateful, of which I have many in my life.
Just take a look over the epic year that 2025 was for me:

JANUARY: 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene (ENERGY), Fruit picking - the plums (oh my!) Spicywatch Movie Nights kicked off for 2025, Seth's 20th birthday, Castlemaine Ghost Hunt, Rocklyn Ashram, Sanctuary Day Spa, Started my new job, Survival Day Ceremony, Chinese New year Banquet, tuned in to the Triple j Hottest 100.
FEBRUARY:  Bendigo Ghost Hunt, Freja's 1st Birthday, Book Club began, Bohemian Women's Festival,  Soundbathing, Kinky Boots Live, Blackberry picking.
MARCH: International Women's Day, Yayoi Kusama at NGV, My 51st birthday, The Oscar's, Trip to Tasmania, Lunch with friends, Trivia nights started.
APRIL: Trip to Melbourne with my friend, Yoga at the LUME,  Easter Sunday with the family, Craig's birthday.
MAY: Mother's Day, Illumin8 - Festival of Light at Bendigo Stupa, Frida Khalo exhibition in Bendigo,  Tasmania trip.
JUNE:  Dark Mofo Tasmania, MONA Tasmania, Winterfeast Tasmania, Sanctuary Day Spa, Spicywatch's 11th Birthday,  Zoe's 28th Birthday.

JULY: Winter hike, City stay and visit to Lonsdale street office, Bellarine Ghost Hunt.
AUGUST:  Wangaratta Stay, Beetlejuice the Musical in Melb.
SEPTEMBER: Marvel Stadium, Father's Day in Daylesford,  Ghost Hunt in Ballarat.
OCTOBER: Bendigo Yoga festival,  Horror Movie Night, Ballarat Photo Bennaile, Whispers and Roars workshop, Halloween Trivia Night at Piano Bar.
NOVEMBER: Kryal castle with Freja, 31st Wedding Anniversary, Enfield Trivia Night.
DECEMBER: Gingerbread house making, Christmas events in Shepparton, Portland, Ballarat and Ferntree Gully, Christmas Drinks with friends, Christmas Day with the fam,  New years Eve in Enfield.

There is a lot here to celebrate and appreciate that's for sure. And on top of all of that, I have also managed to squeeze in:
  • Daily meditation.
  • Yoga 3 times a week.
  • 52 books.
  • Workouts - 4 times a week.
  • 163 movies.
  • 9,000 average steps a day.
  • 114 TV series.
  • 2000 kms of travel a month across Victoria for work.
  • 27 brunches/ lunches and  delicious restaurant meals with family and friends.
  • A daily French lesson on Duolingo.
  • Brain Gym everyday for 10 minutes.
  • A daily journal entry.
  • 11 Spicywatch movie nights and 6 cinema visits.
  • 15, 030 hours of Spotify - 1,891 songs and 1263 artists.
Woohoo! That's a lot of 'doing' for one year!
And now, as 2026 commences I wonder what will arrive in the next 12 months. A lot of new experiences to be had that's for sure since this year I am all about embracing options and maximising my opportunities.  Let's hope that it's as equally fortuitous and joy filled as 2025 was because the last 12 months were a total game charger for me.
Bring it on 2026, let's go!

BUGONIA
Release Date: 2025
Rating: MA 15+
Running Time: 118 mins

There is something truly riveting and slightly unsettling about movies directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, and Bugonia is certainly no exception. By teaming conspiracy theories with paranoia and greed, this sci-fi comedy  brings on the shocks and the laughs and also some genuinely audacious violence.
Two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap a high powered CEO of a major company when they become convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying the planet.
With Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons at the helm, you know its going to be a wild ride, and that is exactly what this film is, one wild ride; but don't just take my word for it, see it for yourself, it is definitely one of the most interesting film to come out of 2025.
FINAL SAY: I know who you are. I know what you are.
