I would be lying if I didnt say that I'm enjoying things though, I am having a wonderful time! I have a beautiful circle of friends, I have strong relationships with my family, I have a robust social life and not a day goes by that I don't laugh my arse off about something. But the time...ahh...there is not enough of it. I want to do so much more, see so much more, travel so much more, play so much more, explore new things, spend more time with Freja, read more books, watch more movies, paint more, do more yoga...ahhhh....the the list is endless, bascially I want to do more of everything (except work - I do too much of that) -in fact I may be at risk of being a workaholic to be honest.
Anyway - I'm just bustling and hustling all the time and I am busier than I have ever been in my life and as a consequence I find myself falling into bed with an exhaution that leaves little to no room for much of anything else during the week, and my weekends are spent racing about trying to get all the things done that that I have neglected to do during the working week. I tell you, this working 50 plus hours a week thing has really put the kibosh on many things for me.
And in all fairness to Craig it has also made me hyper aware of how much pressure he has been under for the last 20 years trying to pay off the house when I was only on an LSO's wage for so long. It's nice to feel like I'm actually making a contribution these days and that is enough to keep me going and pushing onwards.
And as I said, I still do a lot of incredibly joyful, fun and special things. My birthday was amazing this year, Craig and I went out for a gastromic nine course dinner and I also went to the theatre with my mum and Zoe. Spicywatch movie nights, women's circle gatherings, meditation sangha's and book club still roll out once a month which are always highlights on my calendar. I am still yoga and meditation committed, I still ghost hunt and I still spend time listening to music and audiobooks and hitting the kitchen for some cooking therapy.
So, yeah not as much TV, books and movies, but not from lack of trying. Helen and I have started to revisit the cinema pretty regularly - once a fortnight if time allows and I have gone to the cinema a lot more this year than I did last year and I am loving that as well.
Life moves pretty fast and if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it and lord knows I don't want to miss a thing!

Slammed by critics and rejected by die hard fans of the original novel by Emily Bronte, director Emerald Fennell gets tongues wagging yet again with her sexy and colourful retell of the classic tale Wuthering Heights. And I sit on the opposing side with this, because even though I loved the book, I still cannot deny that this somewhat crazy romp into the sexual-psycho minds of Heathcliffe and Catherine was genuinely enjoyable and actually, a whole lot of fun.
From childhood, when Healthcliffe first lands in Catherine's life, the two appear to have an affinity and morbid fascination that keeps them passionately tethered to each other for their entire lives; and often at the cost of everyone around them.
Margo Robbie and Jacob Elordi turn up the heat and behave abhorently throughout, which I found hilariously entertaining and I cannot deny that, yes; it is utterly outrageous and somewhat cheesy. And sure, it's gorgeously realised and also completely over the top as well. And just like all fantasy retells of romantic classics with tremendously good looking people in them, it's also very damn hard to look away from!
I recommend that you watch it with a sense of curious fun and you'll enjoy the ride as well. Not the classic tale you've come to know - but certainly a worthy watch in my books.
FINAL SAY: I cannot live without my soul.
